Getting started
Install File It, activate the server, and get the first cabinet ready.
Set up File It from purchase to first cabinet
Follow the complete path from My File It through server activation, first administrator setup, workstation pairing, and a verified recovery point.
Install the server and workstations
Plan the File It server, install the signed server package, connect authorized workstations, and confirm the cabinet storage path.
Activate one File It server
Use the Tenant ID and one-time activation code from My File It. These are separate values and authorize one server installation.

Choose a plan, enroll the firm, and understand storage and retention.

Estimate protected size on the server, select the Cloud plan in My File It, then let the authorized server encrypt before upload.

Cloud plans are based on unique encrypted storage, the recovery window, and the minimum number of useful recovery points File It preserves.

Stage signed updates and move an existing FileCabinet CS cabinet.
Check, verify, and stage an update
File It authorizes the assigned release ring, verifies the signed manifest and package, and stages the update before installation.
Prepare an assisted cabinet migration
File It maps the cabinet structure and moves clients and documents in a controlled import rather than rebuilding one folder at a time.
