What to do
Use recovery inventory and preview to prove that a Cloud backup can be downloaded, authenticated, decrypted, and enumerated without changing the active cabinet.
- Refresh recovery inventory on the licensed File It server.
- Select the intended recovery point and review its time, protected size, and authentication status.
- Run recovery preview first; File It verifies the encrypted backup without replacing the current cabinet.
- Confirm the previewed file count and expected structure before authorizing a production restore.
- Treat a successful upload as incomplete evidence until a separate download and verification has succeeded.
