Security starts with control

Your cabinet stays yours.
Every layer proves it.

Your working documents stay on infrastructure you control. File It's online services handle licensing, verified updates, and optional encrypted backup—not a browsable copy of your cabinet.

The model in plain English

Four protections that matter.

No badge language. Just the boundaries File It is built to enforce.

01

Your cabinet stays local

The working document cabinet runs on the Windows server and storage your firm controls. Account and licensing services do not browse those documents.

02

Backups are checked

File It records and verifies cryptographic evidence so unexpected changes can be detected before a restore.

03

Cloud is encrypted first

When you add Cloud backup, your server encrypts the files before upload. File It Cloud stores protected objects, not a readable cabinet.

04

Software and access are verified

Server identity, entitlements, and eligible updates are authenticated so the wrong server or an altered release is rejected.

What verification means here

A restore is not trusted merely because it exists.

  1. 1RecordEach backup records cryptographic hashes for the protected contents.
  2. 2AuthenticateThe manifest is authenticated so silent changes are detectable.
  3. 3VerifyFile It checks the archive and refuses a restore that fails integrity validation.

Hash verification is part of File It's local backup path. It is not a paid Cloud-only feature.

Tested, monitored, and reviewed

Security is ongoing work.

File It uses automated security tests, dependency and secret scanning, monitored production services, backup restoration exercises, and independent review. Findings are tracked and corrected as part of the release process.

No automatic compliance claim: File It can support a firm's safeguards, but each firm remains responsible for its people, network, policies, retention choices, and legal obligations.
